  1. What age do I enter when getting a quote or buying a policy?

    Enter the age that you will be at the time that you BUY your policy, even if you will be older when you are actually travelling.

  2. Can I add my partner/spouse who is 65 years of age and travelling with me, to my Frequent Traveller Saver policy?

    You can be covered under a Frequent Traveller Saver Policy if you are 64 years of age or younger at the time you buy your policy.

     

    For an additional fee, you can add your partner/spouse and/or dependants to you Frequent Traveller Saver policy.

    However, if your partner/spouse is over 64 years of age at the time you buy your policy, they CANNOT be covered under your Frequent Traveler Saver Policy and will have to obtain their own separate cover.

  3. Can I buy travel insurance for my child who is under the age of 18, and not travelling with an adult?

    Yes, travellers under the age of 18 and not travelling with an adult can buy a travel insurance policy with us. There is no minumum age limit.

  4. What is the Age limit?

    Age limits are as at the date of issue of your Certificate of Insurance. Age restrictions apply to some policies, refer to the PDS for more detail. Conditions apply if you are aged between 80 - 89 or 90 years or over.

  5. What is the age limit for Comprehensive. Standard Saver, Basics and Domestic Plus policies?

    Comprehensive. Standard Saver, Basics and Domestic Plus policies are available to travellers of all ages.

  6. Can I take out of policy if I'm between the ages of 80 - 89?

    If you purchase a Comprehensive, Standard Saver Policy, Basics Policy or Domestic Plus Policy and are between 80-89 years of age at the time of policy purchase, your policy is subject to the following conditions:

    • A $2,000 excess applies for all claims arising from, related to or associated with your injury or sickness. For claims not related to your injury or sickness a $200 excess applies unless you reduce it.
    • Cover is limited to $40,000 in total for all claims related to or associated with an injury or sickness under all (not each) of the following Benefits that apply to your policy type:
      • Benefit 1 – Overseas 24/7 Emergency Medical Assistance
      • Benefit 2 – Overseas Emergency Hospital & Medical Expenses
      • Benefit 3 – Overseas Emergency Dental
      • Benefit 4 – Overseas Emergency Evacuation
      • Benefit 5 – Trip Cancellation Expenses
      • Benefit 6 – Trip Disruption Expenses
      • Benefit 7 – Trip Resumption Expenses

  7. Can I take out a policy if I'm 90 years of age or over?

    If you purchase a Comprehensive, Standard Saver Policy, Basics Policy or Domestic Plus Policy and are 90 years of age and over at the time of policy purchase, your policy is subject to the following conditions:

    • A $5,000 excess applies for all claims arising from, related to or associated with your injury or sickness. Claims not related to your injury or sickness the normal $200 excess applies unless you reduce it.
    • Cover is limited to $30,000 in total for all claims related to or associated with an injury or sickness under all (not each) of the following Benefits that apply to your policy type:
      • Benefit 1 – Overseas 24/7 Emergency Medical Assistance
      • Benefit 2 – Overseas Emergency hospital & Medical Expenses
      • Benefit 3 – Overseas Emergency Dental
      • Benefit 4 – Overseas Emergency Evacuation
      • Benefit 5 – Trip Cancellation Costs
      • Benefit 6 – Trip Disruption Expenses
      • Benefit 7 – Trip Resumption Expenses
