Two new companies, Waymate and GoEuro, are trying to revolutionise the ways in which we book travel when we go overseas.
It may be simple to search for the cheapest flights from destination to destination, but one of the hardest challenges of travel is working out the cheapest way to get from your starting point to your final destination.
Booking buses, trains and planes in a combination that works is very difficult and there is no easy way to compare different routes without working it all out for yourself.
The reason for this is that Europe’s bus and train companies are not willing to make all of this information readily available thanks to fierce competition.
Waymate and GoEuro are both seeking to benefit from ticket sales commissions, but the main challenge they face is convincing companies to provide them with access to information.
Their pitch to these companies explains that everyone will benefit from a smoother service that gets more people onto public transport systems.
