We all dream of hanging up our suits for good and hitting the road to travel, but what would it actually be like to do so?
Peter Shaw did exactly what we all dream about nine months ago and here are some of the experiences that he had:
Con - Travel Days spent moving between destinations are never pleasant. On a holiday these can be borne easily, but when it is your life it becomes far more tedious.
Pro - New sights and experiences await you at every stop. There is no end of great things to see and they will never fail to amaze you.
Con - Boredom and monotony are problems because of the repetitive nature of sightseeing. If all you are doing is looking at things then you can easily lose sight of their wonder.
Pro - Amazing people will greet you along the way. Whether they are locals or fellow travellers, you will meet lots of people to get along with.
Con – Homesickness is an inevitable occurrence. It will usually rear its ugly head when you are feeling under the weather with a cold or a hangover. Creature comforts will seem like a distant luxury at times.
Pro – Gratitude for your experiences and for life in general is an inevitable result of travelling. You will see the best and the worst, but overall it will just make you happy to be alive.
