Conditions for new travel insurance policies

Travel insurance policy conditions during the COVID-19 Pandemic for current policy holders and travellers purchasing new domestic, international and cruise policies.

We have made some necessary changes to the conditions for buying our travel insurance policies. These changes ensure we can continue to be a proud partner of Aussie travellers and support Australian tourism companies with the sale of domestic travel insurance policies.

This guide provides scenarios for where we can and cannot currently provide cover for Australian travellers and gives you the confidence to both buy a travel insurance policy and travel.

Please see our COVID-19 Alert for further information.

If you have any questions, please call 1300 409 322 or email info@fastcover.com.au, our friendly team is here and waiting to help.

International travel destinations not covered

You cannot buy a policy for travel to any country not on Fast Cover's 'Approved International Travel Destinations' list, regardless of whether you have a travel exemption from the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs or not. This is due to our limited ability to ensure acceptable medical treatment in or repatriation from certain countries.

I have a travel exemption for a country not on the selected country list

If the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs has issued you a travel exemption for a country not on the above list, please call 1300 409 322 or email info@fastcover.com.au with the country you are travelling to, travel dates and traveller(s) age(s) and we will consider cover on a case by case basis.
