  2. What age do I enter when getting a quote or buying a policy?

    Enter the age that you will be at the time that you BUY your policy, even if you will be older when you are actually travelling.

  3. Can I buy travel insurance for my child who is under the age of 18, and not travelling with an adult?

    Yes, travellers under the age of 18 and not travelling with an adult can buy a travel insurance policy with us. There is no minumum age limit.

  4. When should I buy my Travel Insurance?

    You can buy your Travel Insurance up to 12 months before your Departure Date and you need to buy your policy BEFORE you leave Australia. Unlimited Cancellation cover for Cancellation Fees and Lost Deposits starts instantly when your policy is issued. It can be best to buy your policy as early as possible to cover you for Cancellation should the unexpected occur before you start your trip.

  6. How long do claims take to be processed?

    We will consider your claim within 10 business days of receiving a completed claim form and all necessary documentation. If we need additional information, a written notification will be sent to you within 10 business days.

  8. If I get sick or injured and go to hospital, do I have to pay the hospital fees first and then make a Claim?

    If you are hospitalised, please contact Allianz Global Assistance as soon as possible. If you are too ill to do this, give your Policy details to your medical team, who will be able to contact Allianz Global Assistance on your behalf.

     

    If the cost of the treatment is significant (more than $2000), Allianz Global Assistance will communicate with your medical team as to your condition and treatment. If approved, Alliance Gloabal Assistance will be your guarantor and pay the hospital directly for your hospital bills.

     

    If the cost of the treatment is under $2,000, you may need to pay for your costs upfront and make a claim at a later date.

  9. Can I buy travel insurance if I'm Pregnant?

    Pregnancy is covered under our policies provided it is a single pregnancy, without complications and you are NOT past the 23rd week.

  10. Can I extend my Policy when I am already overseas?

    Yes, you can request to extend your policy while you are overseas.

     

    You can do this by:
    1) Using the 'My Policy' page on our website,
    2) Emailing info@fastcover.com.au or
    3) Calling +61 1300 409 322 and paying any additional premium.

  11. Why is Japan not part of the Asia region?

    For the purposes of our policies, Japan is NOT part of the Asia region because the medical expenses in Japan are comparatively higher than other countries in Asia. To be covered for your travel to Japan please select the Worldwide Region.
