Terms and Conditions

1. The promotional period (“Promotional Period”) for this promotion commences 12.01am AEST 6 February 2017 and ends 11.59pm AEST 7 May 2017.

2. However, notwithstanding the Promotional Period, subject to these terms and conditions, once the total maximum prize pool of $2,600 AUD is exhausted, no further draws will be conducted and the promotion comes to an end.

3. Taking part in this promotion constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

4. The Promoter is Fast Cover Pty Ltd, trading as Fast Cover, ABN 98 143 196 098, 9 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, New South Wales 2000, phone number 1300 409 322 (“the Promoter”). Fast Cover arranges travel insurance as an authorised representative of AGA Assistance Australia Pty Ltd, ABN 52 097 227 177, AFSL 245631 trading as Allianz Global Assistance. Travel Insurance is issued and managed by Allianz Global Assistance as agent of the insurer Allianz Australia Insurance Limited ABN 15 000 122 850 AFSL 234708. This promotion is authorised under NSW permit number: LTPS/17/11040.

5. Entry is only open to residents of Australia who are 18 years of age or older, as of the date of entry (“Eligible Persons”).

6. The directors, officers, management and employees of the Promoter, its related bodies and associated agencies and companies, contractors or associated individuals and members of their immediate families are not eligible to enter this promotion. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse or domestic partner, ex- spouse or ex-domestic partner, de-facto spouse or ex-de-facto spouse, child or step child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step parent, grandparent, step grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step brother, step sister or first cousin.

7. To enter the promotion, Eligible Persons must during the Promotional Period purchase any Fast Cover travel insurance policy via the website https://fastcover.com.au, and share their purchase and the promotion either:

(a) on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and/or another social media platform of their choice; and/or

(b) by email to a valid email address,

via the share buttons that will appear on the purchase confirmation page as follows:

8. Multiple entries are permitted.

9. One Eligible Person will receive one entry into the promotion for each policy purchase share made in accordance with these terms and conditions. The entrant to the promotion will be the Eligible Person first-named in the relevant policy. E.g. If a customer buys one policy during the relevant Draw Period and shares it by email, they will receive 1 entry into that draw (subject to satisfying all other entry requirements). If a customer buys two policies during the same Draw Period and shares them both by email and on Facebook, they will receive 4 entries into that draw (subject to satisfying all other entry requirements).

10. Entrants may only enter this promotion in their own name.

11. The promotion will be comprised of weekly draws throughout the Promotional Period until the total maximum prize pool of $2,600 AUD is exhausted.

12. The prize for each draw will be the full premium paid (in AUD) for the winner’s Fast Cover travel insurance policy that entitled them to enter the draw. Subject to these terms and conditions, once a particular draw results in the total maximum prize pool being exceeded, then the promotion will be automatically terminated and no further draws will be conducted. For clarity, if after a particular prize draw the total of the prizes allocated from all draws is $2,599 AUD or less, a further draw will be conducted the following week (provided it is still within the Promotional Period). If after a particular prize draw the total of the prizes allocated from all previous draws is $2,600 AUD or more, no further draws will be conducted.

13. The Eligible Person will be entered into the draw which corresponds to the ‘Draw Period’ within which the eligible policy was purchased, as set out in the table below. Entries will not be included in subsequent draws.

14. The time of purchase will in each case be the time the Promoter records the policy entitling an Eligible Person to enter a draw as having been purchased. For postal purchases, the entry date is considered the date in which Fast Cover creates the policy (issue date).

15. Policy amendments will not constitute an additional entry into a draw.

16. If the policy entitling an Eligible Person to enter a draw is cancelled before the draw is conducted, the entry will be removed from the draw and will be ineligible to be considered in the draw.

17. The winner of each draw will be drawn by random electronic selection at Fast Cover, 9 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, New South Wales 2000 at 12.00pm AEST on the Draw Date corresponding to each draw in the table below.

18. If a prize remains unclaimed by the winner 3 months after the Draw Date, an unclaimed prize draw will be conducted by random electronic selection at Fast Cover, 9 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, New South Wales 2000 at 12.00pm AEST on the Unclaimed Prize Draw Date corresponding to each draw in the table below. The winner of any unclaimed prize draw will have the premium of their winning policy refunded, and not the premium of the initial winner.

19. All winners will be notified by email to the email address as notified to the Promoter on the policy entitling them to an entry into the Draw, within 7 days of each Draw Date. The winner will also be announced online at www.fastcover.com.au within 7 days of each Draw Date.

20. Subject to these terms and conditions, the prize value will be paid, at the discretion of the winner, by Direct Deposit or posted via cheque by the Promoter to the address notified in writing by the winner, within 28 days of such notice, following the draw.

21. The Promoter reserves the right to request that winners provide proof of identity, proof of age, proof of residency and/or proof of entry validity in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency, age and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide proof suitable to the Promoter, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.

22. The Promoter reserves the right to conduct a redraw in the event that an entrant, claiming to be a winner, is unable to satisfy these terms and conditions or has breached these terms and conditions.

23. If for any reason the winner does not take / redeem a prize (or an element of the prize) within the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize (or that element of the prize) will be forfeited.

24. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize.

25. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding on each person who enters, subject to applicable State and Territory legislation, and no correspondence will be entered into. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.

26. If this promotion is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated or is interfered with in any way due to any reason beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to, subject to the relevant authorities which grant the licence, to:

(a) cancel, terminate modify or suspend the promotion, where the Promoter deems appropriate; or

(b) disqualify any entrant.

27. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these terms and conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of this promotion. Any entrant disqualified under this clause is prohibited from any further participation in the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.

28. As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner must sign any legal documentation as required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.

29. In consideration for the Promoter awarding the prize to the winner, the winner agrees to participate and co-operate as required in all editorial activities relating to the promotion, including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winner agrees to grant the Promoter a perpetual and non-exclusive licence to use such footage and photographs in all media worldwide, including online social networking sites, and the winner will not be entitled to any fee or other gratuity for such use.

31. All entries will be the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct this competition and to contact you regarding the products and services you have purchased. Personal information collected will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available at https://fastcover.com.au/privacy

32. The Promoter may disclose the entrant’s personal information for the purpose of providing a prize to the winners. Fast Cover may use the entrant’s personal information for the purpose of providing a prize to the winner and will handle personal information as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://fastcover.com.au/privacy. Fast Cover’s Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their personal information, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how these complaints will be dealt with. Fast Cover may also disclose entrants’ personal information to third parties who provide database and technology services to Fast Cover. Entrants are welcome to contact Fast Cover in relation to its handling of personal information at privacy@fastcover.com.au.
