Benefit 10: Permanent Disability

This benefit pays You a lump sum payment if You become Permanently disabled due to circumstances as explained below.

We will pay

A lump sum payment up to the limits set out in the Benefit Summary above, if You are Injured during Your Overseas Trip; and if because of the Injury, You become Permanently disabled within 12 months of the Injury date. We may at Our option, engage an appropriate Medical practitioner specialising in the relevant field (at Our expense) to examine You and assess Your circumstances, to provide their opinion and to confirm if You are Permanently disabled due to an Injury.

We will not pay

• For Permanent disability caused by any reason other than Injury.
• For Permanent disability caused by Injury in Australia.
• For Injury caused by self-harm.
• For any claims related to COVID-19.
• For more than the applicable limits set out in the Benefit Summary above.
