What is the maximum age for travel insurance?
Fast Cover offers travel insurance for travellers up to certain age limits, depending on the policy type and when the policy is purchased.
International travel (age at the date of policy issue):
Comprehensive: up to age 89
Standard Saver: up to age 89
Basics: up to age 89
Snow Sports Plus: up to age 69
Frequent Traveller Saver (multi-trip): up to age 75 (this also applies to a spouse listed on the policy)
Domestic travel within Australia (age at the date of policy issue):
Domestic Plus: up to age 89
If purchasing a policy while already overseas (age at the date of policy issue):
Comprehensive: up to age 65
Standard Saver: up to age 65
Snow Sports Plus: up to age 65
Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer travel insurance to travellers aged 90 and over (unless they were 89 at the time the policy was purchased), or if you exceed the maximum age limit for the policy at the time of purchase. If you are aged 90 and over at the time of policy purchase, the Insurance Council of Australia may be able to suggest other companies who may be able to provide you with cover for your travel.
