What should I do if my camera has been stolen while travelling?
If your camera is stolen during your trip, you should report the theft as soon as reasonably possible, and preferably within 24 hours, to the local police or, if it happened while travelling, to the airline, bus line, rail authority, or shipping line. Be sure to obtain a written report, as this will be required to support your claim. If the theft occurred at your accommodation, you should also notify hotel management.
You can then submit a claim on https://fastcover.com.au/claims providing us with details of the circumstance.
Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
