Ibrahim Fayad - Quality Assurance and Audit Officer (Compliance), Fast Cover Travel Insurance

"At Fast Cover, one of our core values is 'Help First' — and it's something I carry into my work every day. QA and Audit isn't just a box ticking exercise to make sure we said or did the right thing. It's about making sure that when a customer needs us most, we actually show up."

About Ibrahim

Ibrahim Fayad is Fast Cover's Quality Assurance and Audit Officer, working within the Compliance team. His role is one of the most cross-functional in the business; reviewing sales and claims calls, auditing claim decisions, and working closely with the marketing team on content accuracy. If something doesn't line up with what the policy actually says or how Fast Cover actually operates, Ibrahim is the one who catches it.

What makes his perspective genuinely useful is the path he took to get here. Over four-plus years in travel insurance, Ibrahim has worked across five distinct roles: Sales and Service Agent, Assistant Team Leader, Senior Claims Assessor, Quality Assurance and Complaints Officer, and now QA and Audit. That breadth means he understands the full customer journey — from the first phone enquiry through to a complex claim resolution — in a way that most specialists in a single function never do.

He holds certifications through ANZIIF (Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance), GICOP (General Insurance Code of Practice), and Safetrac compliance training.

Areas of Expertise

Ibrahim's specialist knowledge spans travel insurance product and policy wording, claims assessment handling, and the laws and regulations governing travel insurance in Australia. He also has deeexpertise in complaints handling — including Lloyd's complaint processes and AFCA (Australian Financial Complaints Authority) — which gives him an unusually thorough understanding of where policy interpretation meets consumer rights.

His QA background means he reviews Fast Cover's content against what actually happens in real calls and real claims decisions — making him a critical accuracy check across FAQs, claims guidance, policy explainers, and educational content.

Real-World Travel Experience

Ibrahim has travelled across Australia, Thailand, and the Middle East. His day-to-day work at Fast Cover keeps him deeply connected to the real travel scenarios his customers face; from flight disruptions and medical emergencies overseas to the kinds of claims questions that come up again and again across different destinations and travel styles.
