Can I claim for trip cancellation If I am made redundant after purchasing my policy?
Depending on the policy chosen, you may be eligible to claim for Trip Cancellation Expenses if you are made redundant after purchasing your Fast Cover travel insurance policy.
We will only pay in circumstances described in the policy, one of which includes but not limited to, where you (or your travelling companion) are made redundant from full-time employment in Australia, provided you or they were not aware that the redundancy was to occur before you purchased your Policy.
You may be required to provide evidence and/or documentation from your employer confirming the date and nature of the redundancy to support your claim.
The Trip Cancellation Expenses benefit is only available under the following policy types:
Comprehensive
Standard Saver
Snow Sports Plus
Domestic Plus
Frequent Traveller Saver
This benefit is not available under the Basics policy.
Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
