What are the adventure, sport and recreational activities that are covered?
We can provide cover for the activities listed below - some are automatically covered, while some require you to add on a specific pack or to select the activity when you purchase your policy.

Will my intended sport, leisure and adventure activities be covered under my policy?
Wherever you go and whatever you choose to do, it’s always a good idea to check if your travel insurance policy can provide you with cover for the sports, leisure or adventure sports that you want to do on your trip. You may find that some activities are automatically covered, some will require you to pay an additional premium to have cover, and others may be excluded from cover altogether.
Even if you’ve got a lot of experience in the activity that you’re planning on doing, you may still run into trouble because sometimes things can go wrong no matter how prepared you are, and whether you’re overseas or within Australia.
Depending on the type of policy that you take out, you can have cover for:
- Your emergency medical expenses if you're injured while participating in your activity or sport,
- Loss or damage to your personal belongings, including your gear and equipment that you bring for your sport or adventure holiday,
- The payments that you’ve made for the activities that you plan to do if you need to cancel your trip,
- and more.
What type of holiday activities can travel insurance cover
We know that every trip for every traveller is different.
Fast Cover’s travel insurance policies provide you with the flexibility and options that can suit the type of trip that you’re doing, whether you’re a thrill seeker testing your limits with extreme sports and activities, you just want to take it super easy… or anywhere in between!
The type of activities that can be covered include:
- Leisure activities and non-contact sports (automatically covered),
- More adventurous activities that are listed in the Adventure Pack including contact sports (requires the addition of the Adventure Pack),
- Cruising on the sea or ocean (requires a cruise policy),
- Snow sports (requires the Snow Sports Plus policy),
- Riding or being a passenger on a motorcycle, moped or scooter (requires the addition of the Motorcycle Pack),
- A driving holiday in a rental car (add the Rental Vehicle Insurance Excess benefit so that the rental vehicle excess component of your rental vehicle insurance with the car hire company may be covered should the need arise).
