You can still submit a claim if you have had a policy with Fast Cover and the policy was underwritten by Allianz.

Fast Cover travel insurance launched in 2010 with Allianz as their underwriter. Allianz Global Assistance was the underwriter of all policies, provided specialist emergency medical assistance, managed and settled claims for all travellers who purchased a policy with Fast Cover travel insurance until 20th May 2017. From 21st May 2017, Fast Cover travel insurance changed their underwriter to the Hollard Insurance Company who now underwrite all policies and manage the assessment and payment of all claims on their behalf.

A multinational insurance company with a history spanning over 120 years. Allianz was founded in Berlin, Germany in 1890 and was originally a transport and accident insurer.

Allianz was launched in Australia in 1983 as Worldcare, joined the Allianz group under the name of Mondial Assistance in 2001, and later rebranded to Allianz Global Assistance. In 2017, they joined with their sister companies Global Automotive and Allianz Worldwide to become known as Allianz Partners.

What are Allianz travel insurance pre-existing conditions?

Allianz’s travel insurance policies have a list of pre-existing medical conditions which they may be able to cover you for. You can view the list of Allianz’s travel insurance pre-existing medical conditions in their Product Disclosure Statement.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition which is not on the Allianz travel health insurance list, and wish to be covered for the pre-existing medical condition, you may still get cover for it from a number of insurers who can screen for pre-existing medical conditions.

Can I still make an Allianz Travel Insurance Claim?

While we always suggest that claims should be submitted as early as possible, there’s no time limit to when you can submit a travel insurance claim. Naturally, you’re still required to substantiate your claim with the relevant supporting documentation.

While Fast Cover is no longer underwritten by Allianz, you can still submit a claim if you have had a policy with Fast Cover and the policy was underwritten by Allianz.
