These events can go on for days and days, and it’s not just the big stores offering the discounts, the small shops do it too.
And there’s discounts, giveaways, competitions and entertainment that caters to all types of shoppers and ages.
So if you’re keen on off-loading some of your money off shore, get some empty suitcases, head to these 5 fantastic locations, and spend, spend, spend…oh, and see the sights and indulge in their food if you have any time left!
1) Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai

Held in the cooler months, this is one serious shopping festival.
They not only offer discounts and sales for the millions (yes, millions!) of shoppers who flock here to do their duty free shopping, they also provide special entertainment and activities to keep the kids happy while you browse and spend.
And in the rare moments when you’re resting your credit card, you too can watch the street shows, fireworks displays, light shows, film festivals, international fashion shows, sports and cultural events, music concerts and brand product launches.

Fight the crowds for up to 70% off retail prices on local and international brands at this annual nationwide 8 week long sale.
This shopping festival is the most famous and biggest in Asia, complete with prize giveaways and music concerts to ease your shopping experience.
Marina Bay, Orchard Road and Paragon Mall are good places to visit for bargains. But there are a myriad other places around the island where you can spend your cash. It’s a shopping bonanza!

This is a nationwide event to promote outlet malls in the US, where the cheap US prices are reduced even more!
If you want to maximise your shopping options, then head to Pennsylvania and Florida for some serious shopping bargains.

This is one of the most famous shopping festivals in the world, with famous designers showcasing the latest in high street fashion and haute couture. Shoes and designer clothing are at reduced prices, so for the very latest trends at bargain prices, this is the place to be.
