"Holiday for 100th birthday party cancelled due to cancer discovery..."

Instead of a trip of a lifetime Han's wife had to deal with an unexpected operation and radiation. Unfortunately, the unexpected does happen in life. Read Han's real life story below!

"The trip was planned well in advance..."

Han's, 72, and his wife are from Point Claire, NSW, and never expected a routine medical appointment would effect their whole trip.

"[we booked] our trip, by air to Copenhagen and then a bus to Goteborg in Sweden to attend a 100 years birthday celebration. [We had] then booked Southampton via air and homeward via a Cruise Ship from Southampton... we were very organised and planned well in advance."

An 100 year birthday celebration was cut short...

"Cancellation because of medical diagnosis of breast cancer some six weeks before planned departure.  Instead of a trip of a lifetime: operation and radiation. The whole initial treatment lasted some three months. Contacting Fast Cover to discuss refund of all tickets and had an extremely positive experience. Fortunately all is well now."

"Extremely positive experience!"

"An extremely positive experience. Even though the insurance premium can be quite substantial as in our case, we would never travel without it! The actual claim submission via computer was quite straight-forward and easy."

Han's reunion trip cancelled

Han's and his wife had planned and pre-paid for a trip to Sweden to attend a 100-year birthday celebration and family reunion, followed by travel to the UK and a homeward cruise from Southampton. Unfortunately, a few months before their departure, an unexpected medical diagnosis meant they were forced to cancel their holiday. Thankfully they had purchased travel insurance well in advance and were completely covered for their cancellation costs and lost deposits. After submitting a claim online and providing all the required documentation, they received a payment of over $10,000 AUD within the week.
